Contemporary art for spaces with character.
Limited-edition canvases and fine art prints by Ilana McBain, an Australian contemporary artist based in Noosa.
Colour draws you in. The story asks you to stay.
I paint people, places and moments with colour, humour and movement. Different subjects, but the same intention — to create work that brings personality and energy into a space.

Ilana McBain
Australian contemporary artist based in Noosa.
Ilana McBain works across changing subjects while retaining a distinct visual language of organic form, bold colour and recognisable human moments. Her work is driven by curiosity rather than genre — and by the belief that art should bring something alive into the space it inhabits.
We gather because we are human — even when the characters aren’t.
The Gathering
Figures & Connection
The Gathering explores our instinct to belong, observe, communicate and share space. Three rabbits appear caught in conversation among a field of poppies — humorous characters that begin to feel strangely familiar.
