Workshop Agenda: "Embodying the Inner Goddess"

1. Welcome and Introduction

Duration: 10 minutes

  • Greeting and Purpose:
    • Welcome participants and thank them for attending.
    • Explain the workshop’s focus: using multimedia art to explore and embody the qualities of the “inner goddess.”
  • Overview of the Concept:
    • The “inner goddess” represents strength, wisdom, creativity, and authenticity within us.
    • This workshop helps participants connect to these qualities and bring them to life through art.
  • Share the intention: participants will create a multimedia art piece symbolizing their unique “inner goddess” using layers of texture, colour, and mixed materials.

2. Icebreaker Activity: Discovering Your Goddess Archetype

Duration: 15 minutes

  • Activity: "Goddess Archetype Exploration"
    • Provide a handout or card deck with descriptions of different goddess archetypes (e.g., Athena for wisdom, Aphrodite for love, Artemis for independence).
    • Ask participants to choose an archetype or create their own that resonates with their inner qualities.
    • Share their choice with the group and explain why it speaks to them.

3. Guided Reflection: Defining Your Inner Goddess

Duration: 15 minutes

  • Lead participants through a guided meditation to visualize their inner goddess:
    • What does she look like?
    • What colours, textures, or symbols represent her?
    • What qualities or emotions does she embody?
  • Encourage participants to write down their reflections or sketch initial ideas.

4. Introduction to Multimedia Art Techniques

Duration: 20 minutes

  • Demonstrate various multimedia techniques, including:
    • Layering textures with fabric, paper, and found objects.
    • Incorporating acrylic paint, inks, and metallic finishes for depth and vibrancy.
    • Adding symbolic elements like feathers, beads, or words to enhance meaning.
  • Show examples of finished multimedia pieces to inspire participants.

5. Creative Session: Bringing Your Goddess to Life

Duration: 1 hour

  • Step 1: Prepare the base (canvas or heavy art paper) with a textured background using mixed materials (e.g., tissue paper, fabric, or modeling paste).
  • Step 2: Add colour, patterns, and symbols representing the goddess’s qualities.
  • Step 3: Incorporate personal elements, such as:
    • Words or affirmations written into the design.
    • Items or symbols meaningful to their life (e.g., photographs, charms).
  • Facilitators offer guidance, encouragement, and suggestions throughout the process.

6. Reflection and Sharing

Duration: 20 minutes

  • Invite participants to share their finished or in-progress pieces with the group.
  • Encourage open discussions about what their goddess represents and how they connected with her during the process.

7. Closing Ceremony: Affirming the Inner Goddess

Duration: 15 minutes

  • Guide participants in a short closing ritual:
    • Stand in a circle and hold their artwork.
    • Share a one-word affirmation about their inner goddess (e.g., “Courage” or “Creativity”).
    • Thank the group for their shared energy and creativity.
