For me, Abstract Intimacy is about the fleeting moments we share with strangers. The kind of intimacy that appears unexpectedly, sometimes lasting only seconds. A brief conversation. 

A look held a little longer than usual. A smile exchanged with someone you may never see again.

I’ve always been fascinated by how these moments can feel surprisingly deep, even though they’re temporary. There’s no history, no future, no obligation, just presence. That’s what I wanted to capture here.

The faces sit close, overlapping, yet never fully merging. They represent different people, different lives, intersecting briefly before moving on. The bold black lines hold each form firmly in place, while the warm, earthy colours, ochre, red, olive, blue, reflect the emotional warmth that can exist even in passing encounters.

This artwork isn’t about romance or long-term connection. It’s about recognition. That quiet acknowledgment between two people who, for a moment, truly see one another. Then it’s gone. Abstract Intimacy lives in those small, human exchanges that remind us we’re connected, even when we’re strangers.
