Connections in Forms began as a study of how human connection truly operates — rarely neat, rarely symmetrical, and almost never linear.

We are composed of fragments. Experiences. Roles. Histories. Contradictions.

Individually, these parts can appear unrelated. Yet when allowed to exist beside one another — without being forced into sameness — something coherent begins to form.

This large-scale contemporary oil painting brings multiple faces into a unified composition. Each form retains its presence while being influenced by the others around it. Some elements advance. Others recede. Certain edges remain defined, while others dissolve into transition.

The tension is deliberate.

It reflects the way connection unfolds in real life — through contrast, proximity, shared space, and subtle negotiation rather than perfect alignment.

Once secured, the painting is executed in professional oil at full 170 x 240 cm scale in my Sunshine Coast studio.

While the compositional structure remains consistent, each oil painting is individually executed. Subtle variations in brushwork, texture, and surface movement are inherent to the medium, ensuring authenticity and originality within the established framework.
