Held Gaze is a one-of-one monumental oil painting measuring 170 × 240 cm.

Four intersecting faces occupy a compressed vertical plane. Each identity is defined by bold contour and saturated colour — emerald, magenta, ochre, cobalt and muted neutrals negotiating space within a single frame.

Unlike Shared Silence, where distance softens tension, Held Gaze removes the distance entirely.

This work examines visibility.

When we are seen — fully — something shifts. Defences rise. Awareness sharpens. Silence becomes charged.

The structure is deliberate. The vertical stacking creates pressure. The eye-lines do not align comfortably. That discomfort is intentional.

Each monumental painting is created upon acquisition.

The displayed imagery represents the defined composition and tonal direction of the final work.

Once secured, the painting is executed in professional oil at full 170 x 240 cm scale in my Sunshine Coast studio.

While the compositional structure remains consistent, each oil painting is individually executed. Subtle variations in brushwork, texture, and surface movement are inherent to the medium, ensuring authenticity and originality within the established framework.
